2. If I have done my BSc in Biology, can I do my master’s in psychology? Generally, universities require the student to have studied a subject in a related field. However, IGNOU offers students MA in Psychology and the eligibility criteria are such that the aspirants need to have a Bachelor’s degree (in any stream) from a recognised university. Apart from IGNOU, other top universities offering Psychology courses include the University of Calcutta, the University of Pune, Central University, and Karnataka, among others.
3. What is the duration of Psychology courses? The duration of Psychology courses depends on the level and type of course. For a full-time undergraduate course, the duration is three years, while for a postgraduate course, it is two years.
4. Is it necessary to study Science in Class 12 to pursue higher education in Psychology? In case a student wishes to pursue BSc in Psychology, then it is necessary for him/her to study Science stream in Class 11 and 12. For a BA in Psychology, it is not mandatory to study Science.
