In the 21st century, the UK remains a great power and has significant economic, cultural, military, scientific, technological, and political influence internationally. The United Kingdom has the world’s sixth-largest economy by nominal gross domestic product (GDP), and the eighth-largest by purchasing power parity. The United Kingdom has made significant contributions to the world economy, especially in technology and industry. Since World War II, however, the United Kingdom’s most prominent exports have been cultural, including literature, theatre, film, television, and popular music that draw on all parts of the country.

The Northern and Western Europe region includes economies from Northern Europe (Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, and the United Kingdom), and Western Europe (Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland).
The culture of Northern European Countries is based on the ancient cultures of northern and western Asia. This region is a hub of technology and is known for its sophisticated technology. The country’s people are also very proud of their country’s heritage. The country has many ancient sites that are worth visiting. The natural resources of northern Europe are largely in metals such as bauxite (to make aluminum), copper, and iron ore. Some northern European countries such as Denmark have some reserves of petroleum and natural gas
